Phil & Priscilla Newell: Senior Pastors
Phil & Priscilla have been the pastors of this church since 1977, and Phil just finished his D.Min degree at Western Seminary in Portland. Previously they served as youth pastors in Pella, Iowa, pastors of the Open Bible Church in Sedalia, Missouri and a three-year stint as Principal of the Open Bible High School on the Island of Trinidad. They have two children and three grandchildren. Their hobbies are reading, entertaining and bicycling. Phil also works as a consultant assisting churches that are either declining or expanding through church planting. Priscilla works as a part-time secretary in the church office, heads up the women's ministries, and assists with a host of other responsibilities around the church.

Glen Woods: Children’s Pastor
Glen has helped out in the children's ministry at Portland Open Bible Church starting in the spring of 1996. Glen has worked with children in various roles since the age of sixteen. He is especially passionate about connecting unchurched children and their parents to faith in Jesus Christ by being a regular part of their lives. He attributes this desire to the legacy of his mother who once evangelized children in the projects of Watts. He is also deeply commited to encouraging parents as they fulfill their responsibility to nurture their children in the faith. In addition to children's ministry, Glen is employed fulltime as a warehouseman at a local business. In other words, he is a blue jeans and t-shirt kind of guy who is more comfortable on a forklift than behind a desk. His hobbies include reading, writing, photography, storing water guns in the trunk of his car, and teasing his nieces and nephews.

Karen Bobst: Administration
Karen is a graduate of Eugene Bible College, and is a minister with a degree in Religious Education.  She serves as our church secretary, bookkeeper, and also assists in a number of other arenas with children's ministry, directing ladies' retreats, and teaching discovery classes. The Bobst family has been with us since March 1998, and Karen previously served nine years on pastoral staff at The Lighthouse in Eugene, Oregon. She and Jeff have a very busy life with three boys - two young adults and one teenager -  and a preteen daughter. In her free time, she enjoys entertaining, scrapbooking or watching her children's sporting events.

Cheryl Good: Accountant
Cheryl is responsible for oversight of all things “financial” for our church. She and her husband, Kevin, have been members of our church since 1994. When she’s not doing the payroll or overseeing the church’s financial affairs, she works with our preschoolers and assists Kevin in creating stage settings for our drama productions. Cheryl is an accountant with a local property management firm and also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Warner Pacific College. She has been married to Kevin for 31 years and they have two adult children, Famie and William. For fun, Cheryl loves doing puzzles, playing games with friends, camping, and traveling.

Joshua & Colette Eaton: Youth Leaders
Joshua and Colette have been married since the summer of 2008...and no kids yet.  Colette graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Bible and Theology from Multnomah University where Joshua just finished his degree in Leadership Ministries.  They have been working with the youth since Sept 2009 and are enjoying it more and more.

Michael York: College Age Leader
Michael has been involved with church ministry ever since he was little, helping with VBS and other various youth groups. Working with the college age has a whole different dynamic as he dives into discovering spiritual truth. He has been to Multnomah Bible College, Concordia University, PCC, Mt. Hood CC, and currently George Fox.
